Lending with CARE

Since April 2013, I’ve been providing interest-free working capital to lendwithcare.org who support small scale entrepreneurs in developing countries with short-term (6-18 months) microfinance loans. It works like this:

  • I have some spare business capital
  • Rather than leaving this sitting in my bank account doing nothing, I transfer this to my LendwithCARE account
  • I review the people & projects currently requesting finance, select the projects to support, and how much I want to lend.
  • The projects pay back their loans to LendwithCARE
  • LendwithCARE credit my account with my share of the repayment
  • I use the repayments to lend to other projects.

So simple. Even small amounts can make a huge difference to people’s lives.
